France Helfer

Ms. Helfer is a 30-year medical device industry executive, and the recipient of numerous career awards. She has worked for industry leaders Medtronic, J&J, Sorin, Pfizer-Shiley, and smaller companies in management roles including founder, CEO, President, COO, International Sales & Marketing VP, Business & Corporate Development VP, M&A, VP R&D and Engineering. A serial entrepreneur in medical start-up’s, she has raised over $50M in angel and VC financing, and has served and currently serves on various boards, and as an advisor to several companies. Her start-up Pegasus Biologics was acquired by Synovis Life Systems, and Xenotech was acquired by Medtronic. She is the Founder and board member of Epic Medical, a medical device start-up in electrophysiology, with IP licensed from UCLA. She was brought into NeoMatrix LLC to turn around the business. It is newly restructured as Halo Healthcare Inc, a company focused on diagnostic devices for early detection of breast cancer. Ms. Helfer has been an active angel investor, and mentors entrepreneurs on developing start-up companies. Recently her Neuroscience team at UCLA won the business plan competition sponsored by SoCalBio. She’s had advanced technical education at USC and UCI. Her degree is in biological sciences from CSU Fullerton, with graduate school in business management from University of Redlands. She is a Springboard alumni and a frequent presenter on leadership, entrepreneurship and technology start up’s.
