Tallia Hart has proven herself as a leader in non-profit association management for more than ten years. Ms. Hart’s leadership and team-building skills were developed early, as she trained on the United States Olympic Women’s Gymnastics team for much of her childhood, and won the National Title in the uneven bars. After working her way up to Executive Vice-President of the Fort Collins (Colorado) Area Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Hart took on the role of Executive Director of the Northern California Engineering Contractors Association in Santa Rosa, CA.
In July of 2005, she was selected to be the new President & CEO of the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce in Marin County, California. In San Rafael, Ms. Hart’s strong leadership and management skills have caught the attention of business leaders across the Western United States. She was recognized by the North Bay Business Journal, which selected her as one of the North Bay Area’s top “40 under 40″ list, and by the Western Association of Chamber Executives (WACE), which honored Ms. Hart with the William Hammond Award, given annually for excellence in Chamber of Commerce management.
In April of 2009, Hart was selected from a field of 100 strong candidates to become the next President & CEO of the Irvine Chamber of Commerce. Tallia is working with the organization’s board, membership and other community leaders to build on the Chamber’s past success and develop new programs that will lead the organization into the future. She has since been awarded one of the OC Metro’s “Hot 25″ business leaders in Orange County and was recently appointed to the Executive team of the Southern California Chamber Executives Board of Directors.
